Cartier watchmakers use a sapphire crystal disc with anti-glare treatment and dig a hole in it that is the same size as the tourbillon, thus perfectly creating the illusion that the tourbillon frame is suspended. To achieve this illusion, they put the disc supporting the frame in a rotating state, and then placed the minute wheel driving the oscillator on the shaft, which is used to limit the inherent "resistance torque" of the mechanical device supporting the tourbillon, thereby successfully transmitting power to the tourbillon and enabling the entire device to complete a suspended rotation once a minute. Therefore, while the tourbillon completes one rotation every minute in a transparent open space, its frame performs one complete rotation. The secret to achieving this result is to set a set of gears around the edge of the sapphire crystal disc, connecting the disc to a large gear that runs one week every 1 minute.
