The new Portofino series IW5 9 open-back watch features a 316L stainless steel case with a perfectly rounded finish. The small seconds dial with a stop-seconds function is located at 6 o'clock, along with solid-tipped indexes and Roman numerals. A kinetic decoration is added at 9 o'clock, and the 3 o'clock position is inscribed with "Portofino" and a date window with an accurate distance, symmetrical with the curved kinetic decoration. The moon phase is positioned at 12, identical to the original. Note that the date window is located at the very edge of the dial, and the date font is the same as the original. Willow-shaped hands indicate the hours and minutes, respectively. The strap is a domed sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating. The movement is an in-house developed automatic mechanical movement with Italian calfskin leather, ensuring stable and accurate timekeeping. This is IWC's most dazzling open-back watch.
