The new second-generation "all-ceramic" Apollo-Bls watch is the first Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon to utilize an all-ceramic process. Ceramic is an inorganic non-metallic material produced through high-temperature firing. This material can be used to manufacture high-density watch components with special mechanical properties. Ceramic is one of the most popular materials among consumers when purchasing watches, thanks to its striking and diverse colors and special properties. Ceramic is twice as light as stainless steel, wear-resistant, highly scratch-resistant, highly biochemically inert, hypoallergenic, and non-magnetic. This watch has a 44.25mm case and houses a blackened movement. Laser ablation technology is used to depict the realistic surface of the moon on the movement plates, paying tribute to the Speedmaster's outstanding contributions to the Apollo 8 mission. Through the black anodized aluminum skeletonized dial, the near-surface of the moon, visible from Earth, is clearly visible, while the case back reveals the "dark side" of the moon, seen only by astronauts. The DDD watch features a striking black microporous rubber strap with a yellow rubber lining. The entire watch is crafted from black ceramic, with the central chronograph seconds hand adorned in yellow lacquer, and the bezel featuring laser-engraved bright white enamel tachymeter scale. The small seconds subdial hands are made of grade 5 titanium and are presented in a unique "Saturn V rocket" shape. This 3D design was created using laser turning technology, and different color effects are achieved through a combination of white paint, laser ablation, and laser blackening processes .
