Richard Mille "Art on the Wrist" Rm68-01 Graffiti Tourbillon
Upgraded zirconium oxide ceramic cover and bottom cover
Carbon fiber middle case and crown
Slim case body is only 14 mm
This new tourbillon watch was jointly completed by Brazilian graffiti artist Cyril Kongo. The movement bridge imitates the brushstrokes of street graffiti, presenting different angles and shapes. Bright background colors and graffiti symbols can be seen on the movement parts, which cleverly combines the beauty of machinery and vision.
The watch is slightly deformed on the basis of the barrel-shaped case. The entire case is made of grade 5 titanium, with Ntpt carbon fiber watch ring and black ceramic bezel. The two arrow pointers have a natural and smooth arc outline, and the tourbillon structure is located at 6 o'clock on the dial.
In order to paint on the delicate movement parts, Cyril Kongo experimented with painting tools and pigments for more than a year. He used a special spray gun to spray only a tiny drop of liquid each time, strictly controlling the weight of the pigment to avoid affecting the balance and operation of the movement; the special pigment can perfectly adhere to the surface of titanium alloy parts, and is not affected by disassembly and assembly, and will never fade.
Equipped with an Rm tourbillon movement, the swing frequency is 28800Vph and the power reserve is 48 hours. The pattern on the bottom plate of the movement can be seen through the sapphire crystal case back, which also depicts bright graffiti colors - radiating from the center to the surroundings, imitating the visual effect of paint splashed on the wall.
